September 10 Rehoboth Beach to Front Royal

Well the rain has slowed a lot but it is still very windy. Looking out the window of the room is much like looking at the Gold Coast during a cyclone. A pity as the place would be absolutely beautiful on a good day. We headed off early as we were having breakfast ( brunch really) about an hour after we left the beach. We stopped at this little diner called Snappys
You name it you could have it. Interesting thing called scrapple and eggs. Skip said it’s commonly known eyeballs and arseholes as it made from any offal or other bits . Suffice to say we stayed with the special omelette. So good.
Anyway onto the bike and then back the way we came over the bridge and heading west around Washingtonand heading for Front Royal which is the start of the Shenandoah National Park and the Skyline Drive which becomes Blueridge Parkway.
Again a lot of highway driving and major towns so we were glad to get to our accomodation and looking forward to the quieter roads of Virginia.
All becoming a bit more familiar with the bikes - Russ has christened his bike Battleship Galatica so I think it’s the start of a love hate relationship.
